Channa dal -1/2 cup
Yellow split dal – 1/2 cup
Turmeric, red chili powder, and salt to taste
Asafoetida – 2 tsp
Chopped onion – medium-sized
Oil – 2-3 tsp
Mustard -2 tsp
Urad dal – 2 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 strands
