Crispy Sweet Potato Fritters |Sweet Potato Bhajias |Crispy Bhajia Recipes
Sweet potato bajji is one of the best out of all other vegetable based fritters that I have ever tasted. It surely stands out of all.
These sweet potato bhajias are super simple and need only a few ingredients to make.
Also known as pakoras, these bhajias are the perfect snack for a cold, rainy day. Make up a batch, and serve them with coconut or mint chutney or even tomato ketchup. Happy bhajia time !!
1 medium size sweet potato (cut into medium thin slices)
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1 tbsp rice flour
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp cumin (jeera) powder
¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)
2 nos green chillies (less spicy ones)
2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
a few curry leaves chopped
¾ tsp sugar
a pinch of baking soda
salt as per taste
water to soak make batter
Please Note :
1. Do not cut the sweet potato into very thin slices as it will break
when dipped in the batter.
2. Do not cut the sweet potato into thick slices as it will take long
time to cook
3. Cut it into medium thin slices
