How To Slow Cook a Salisbury Steak Meal
1 package Salisbury steak frozen entrée
6 small potatoes halved (can use larger potatoes cut into pieces)
3-4 stalks of celery cut into pieces
3 carrots cut into pieces
1 can of green beans drained
4-6 brussel sprouts cut in half and root end removed
½ cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Cooking spray butter flavored
Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Put in 2 tablespoons butter and a ¼ cup of beef broth. Layer in the potatoes and carrots then season with salt and pepper. Layer in the celery, brussel sprouts and green beans season with salt and pepper. Now on top of the veggies place the Salisbury steak frozen entrée and the remaining ¼ cup of beef stock. Cover the slow cooker and turn on low heat and let cook for at least 4-6 hours.
After it’s done cooking let cool 45 minutes to an hour if you are planning to package for refrigerator and freezer. I put ours into 2 labeled freezer bags. In each bag I put 3 Salisbury steaks, veggies and gravy. These can now be heated in a microwave proof container on high. To start 2 to 3 minutes and if not completely heated through add minutes.
